Pickering interfacial biocatalysis with enhanced diffusion processes for CO2 mineralization

چکیده
Utilization of carbon dioxide (CO2) has become a crucial and anticipated solution to address environmental ecological issues. Enzymes such as carbonic anhydrase (CA) can efficiently convert CO2 into various platform chemicals under ambient conditions, which offers promising way for utilization. Herein, we constructed Pickering interfacial biocatalytic system (PIBS) stabilized by CA-embedded MOFs (ZIF-8 ZIF-L) mineralization. Through structure engineering incorporation emulsion, the internal external diffusion processes during enzymatic mineralization were greatly intensified. When was ventilated at flow rate 50 mL min–1 1 h, pH value PIBS dropped from ~8.00 ~6.50, while average free only ~7.15, indicating that initial reaction is nearly twice system. After 8th cycle reaction, still produce more than 9.8 mg CaCO3 in 5 min, realizing efficient continuous CO2.

This Article describes a new microencapsulation method based on a Pickering emulsion templated interfacial atom transfer radical polymerization (PETI-ATRP). Cationic LUDOX CL nanoparticles were coated electrostatically with an anionic polymeric ATRP initiator, poly(sodium styrene sulfonate-co-2-(2-bromoisobutyryloxy)ethyl methacrylate) (PSB), prepared by radical copolymerization of sodium styre...
متن کاملWater‐CO2‐mineral systems: Interfacial tension, contact angle, and diffusion—Implications to CO2 geological storage
[1] The interfacial interaction between mineral surfaces and immiscible fluids determines the efficiency of enhanced oil or gas recovery operations as well as our ability to inject and store CO2 in geological formations. Previous studies have shown that the interfacial tension and contact angle in CO2‐water‐mineral systems change noticeably with fluid pressure. We compile previous results and e...

In this research, two carbon structures silica nanohybrids Pickering emulsions were prepared. Graphite and activated carbon were carbon allotropes with different morphologies of laminar and spherical, respectively. The effect of carbon morphology investigated on the related silica nanohybrids Pickeringemulsions for C-EOR. Therefore, nanohybrids were prepared with graphite and activated carbon t...
